Takihiro walked down the loud halls of Huntington High School, ignoring the glance of his new "fan girls". He had only been in the building for five minutes, and the girls around him looked like they were ready to drop onto their knees and bow to him as if he was a god or something.
Turning the corner to his locker Takihiro came to a abrupt stop as he saw a tall, silver-haired girl putting some items into her locker, which was right under his. The pale, angel-faced girl turned and saw him waiting for his locker, leaning up against the ones next to her, his head down.
Takihiro looked up as he heard a locker slam to see the tall girl sling her bag onto her shoulder and quickly walk past him, not even glancing at him once. Opening his locker he looked in the direction the girl had gone and saw her leaning against the door of one of the classrooms right down the hall, her head down, her body motionless.
He finished arranging his things and slammed the locker shut, glancing at his schedule he slipped his backpack onto his shoulders.
"Room 114... That's this way." He quietly said to himself and looked at the numbers on the doors as he walked down the hallway, stopping in front of the quiet girl who was now only inches away from him.
He looked at her with curious eyes and his mind blanked as the bell rang. The girl opened the door and rushed inside, Takihiro followed behind her quickly.
Taking a seat in the far back, he pulled out his notebook and pencil, hanging his backpack on the back of his chair. The late bell rang and after everyone got situated in their seats, the teacher, Mrs. Saruga, introduced herself and starting explaining what the class was about and what they would all be doing in there for the rest of the year. Takihiro got bored of the speech after about five minutes in, and started doodling on his notebook.
He looked up every once in a while to make it seem that he was paying somewhat attention, and looked around him stopping at a pale skinned girl who was drawing in her notebook.
'It's her again! Why is she always everywhere I am?' He wondered staring intently at her until she turned to get something out of her bag, quickly putting his attention back to his doodling.
The bell rang and Takihiro sprinted for the door, accidentally bumping into some people and heard a small crash, he flicked his head behind him quickly seeing the same tall girl from the locker and that sat next to him on the ground, some of her papers and her notebook scattered on the ground around her.
He stopped and walked up to her, being the gentleman that he is, and gathered her papers up from the ground as she carefully lifted herself up onto her feet and dusted off her jeans.
Handing her her papers, he looked at her face to see a shy little, pale, fragile expression and big blue eyes that sparkled like sapphires, she took her notebook from his hands and bolted out the door.
Takihiro blinked and walked to his next class, thinking of his encounter with the tall, shy girl from first period. 'Who is she? Why did she run away like that? Why is she the only girl not drooling over me?' These questions raced through his mind as he sat in his seat for second period.
Not being able to concentrate on his work and his teacher's speeches, he just sat there, staring at his notebook, looking for answers to his questions, clenching his teeth as he kept drawing blanks.
His head snapped up as the bell rang for lunch. His first four classes zoomed by, luckily. Walking to his locker he saw the shy girl from earlier leaning down into her locker, shuffling through her bag.
He pondered in his mind whether or not he should talk to her. His mind shifted from thought when he heard a locker slam and he saw the girl gracefully walk off to the cafeteria. After quickly arranging his books into his locker, Takihiro rushed after her. He saw her sitting alone in a dark corner of the cafeteria nibbling on a cookie, a sketch pad in front of her.
Slowly, he walked into her direction. when he came in front of her, he sat down not knowing how to start a conversation with her. Exhaling, he looked up to see her looking at him, still nibbling on a cookie. As if she was studying him.
"Hello, I'm Takihiro Bashora." Takihiro finally broke the silence and gave her a wave and a small smile.
"I-I'm Kuga, Kuga Toma." Kuga answered quietly, her head down, hands in her lap.
"Nice to meet you. Want to go walk around?" Takihiro asked giving her a goofy grin.
Kuga's ears perked up at this, she looked up and a cute, shy little smile spread across her face. She nodded, and grabbed her bag. Following Takihiro out the door quietly, her head down as they walked down the loud, busy hallways.
"You don't talk much do you?" Takihiro asked, once again being the one to break the silence. Smiling as Kuga just shook her head. "Want to go into a classroom and chat? There won't be many people there." He asked as they walked into a classroom and the teacher smiled as they both sat on top of the desks.
"So what are your interests?" Takihiro asked hoping to get her to talk a bit.
"Um.. I like art, anime, cosplaying, dancing, singing, poetry, reading, writing and music." Kuga finished answering finally looking up at him, her eyes seemed filled with wonder. "H-How about you, Takihiro?" She asked nervously.
"You can call me Taki for short. And I like music, art, and playing my guitar." He smiled and pulled forward his guitar case. "You like singing right? Will you sing while I play?" He asked opening his case and positioning the guitar, ready to play.
Kuga blushed furiously and gulped, her eyes wide.
"C'mon I won't laugh or anything, I will just play." He smiled a truthful smile and played a quick riff, the beat bouncing around the room.
"U-Um OK..." Kuga agreed taking a deep breath and handed Taki a music sheet.
"'Amazing Kiss' huh? Nice choice. I'll play, sing when you are ready." He grinned and starting playing the chords, the beat flowing smoothly and soothingly around the classroom.
Taking a deep breath, Kuga opened her mouth and began singing. Taki's eyes widened as her angelic, harmonious voice filled the room, her voice staying smooth and clear as she moved it up and down. The words coming from her mouth as she sang in Japanese sounded like a lost and beautiful language as her little accent mixed with it.
The song ended and all noise faded into the air. Silence filled the room as Kuga looked down, blushing furiously. Putting away his guitar Takihiro looked over to her and lifted up her chin, looking into her eyes.
"Why are you hiding like that? You have a beautiful voice. Be proud of it!" He grinned and slipped his bag onto his shoulder, glancing at the clock.
Kuga just stared at him her eyes wide smiling shyly, her face turning tomato red, nodding her head she gave him a soft, "Thank you."
"Meet me at the gate after school." Taki waved and walked to his next class, a smile spread across his face, he couldn't wait for school to end now.
