I have been playing around with making an introductory passage of some sort for book 1 of my series. I've come up with a few options but the following is the one I like the most (it seems to be the most relevant).

Essentially the book (and all following ones) will be a chronicle of events as told by a certain minor character. However, it will be told in more traditional novel style (think a historical text if it were fleshed out by a creative hand - kind of third person limited/omniscient hybrid style).

I don't know. It's a bit of a mess. Comments would be appreciated. Especially concerning the final sentence. I am told it is redundant and should be removed. The end of the previous paragraph is a better "fade out" (if that makes sense).
